Ingredients
Makes 32
- 4 cups plain flour
- 300ml sour cream
- 250g melted unsalted butter
Date Filling
- 500g store bought date paste
- 1 tablespoon rose water
For the date filling:
- Combine the rosewater with the date paste & knead to soften. Roll 1 tablespoon worth of paste into 32 mini log.
For the dough:
- Combine the flour, unsalted butter & sour cream. Knead well until combined.
- Divide your dough into 3. Roll out one dough ball onto a floured surface & cut into 8, like a pizza.
- Place the date log on the longest end, press on the edges to close then roll into a crescent.
- Place onto a baking tray, repeat with the rest of the dough. Use the off cuts to roll out a 4th circle.
- Bake at 180 until slightly golden, approx. 20 minutes. Cool completely before dusting with icing sugar.
