Ingredients
- 1 kg continental beans cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1 kg diced Iamb (l use Iamb fillet)
- 1 finely diced onion
- 1 teaspoon Lebanese 7spice
- Salt & cracked pepper
- 1/2 cup water
Method
- Pressure cook your Iamb in plain water for 25min. Drain & set aside. Alternatively if you don’t have a pressure cooker simmer in water on low/medium for approx. 1.5hrs.
- Sauté your onion olive oil, add the Iamb & half the 7spice, pinch of salt & pepper.
- Give it a mix before adding the beans. Season again with more 7spice, salt & add the water.
- Stir & cover, cook on low for 30 minutes, giving it a mix half way. Uncover for 5 minutes at the end, gently mix & check for doneness using a rubber spatular to avoid breaking the beans.
- Serve with vermicelli rice, salad, cucumber yoghurt.
